Talking Hit the dyno!

I did a total of 2 runs just to see what would happen. Anything that could go wrong did, and at 1:30 my dad was putting a new set of points in the distributor. (Appointment at 2:00)

Anyways, first run: Peak HP: 214.0@ 5100 RPM
Peak Torque: 247.3 ft/lbs @ 3600 RPM

For the second run, I removed my puny air cleaner just to see what would happen, and boy what a difference.
Peak HP: 220.7@ 5300 RPM
Peak Torque: 254.3 ft/lbs @3600 RPM

These are at the wheels, but the dyno estimated that it would be putting out 280 flywheel HP, which is less than I originally thought.
Neverless I am happy, and the car sounded so nice at WOT it was unbelievable.

Keep in mind the car isn't tuned, A/F is off, timing is slightly out. Should make 300 flywheel HP tuned correctly.

Thats this winter's project, better ignition!
The setup is pretty much

302 bored 30 over,Pistons, compression, ported heads, cam, intake. Maybe the budget can include some aluminum heads, then it'll be nuts!

I'm sure it handles fine, that's what shocks and springs are for.

I am just happy inside to know that my 12a will put out as much hp at the wheels as your car does at the fly wheel. We should race sometime.

Wow, thats nice, since your engine is almost maxed out and mine has hardly begun. Anyways, it handles fine as its on stock struts and springs. Aluminum heads will make it even better, shedding 50 more pounds or so, and boosting the HP like a ****. I'm using an Edelbrock Performer intake with a Holley 570CFM Street Avenger. Looking to upgrade to at least a 650. Don't know the specs on the cam though.
