Help with the Nest

Removed the emmisions today and have a little problem (and no, I do not intend to start another Rat's Nest Thread). Everything seemed to go OK until I tried to check my leading timing. For some reason the light won't even go on (and it's only a week old). Works fine on the trailing and I set the leading a few days ago with no problem ( I'm running an MSD direct fire set up and the motor runs great). I have the light attached as close to the plug as possible but I don't see this really being my problem since it worked fine before.

Anyone have any ideas - I worried that my timing may be off with the emmisions now gone. Much appreciated !!!

Oh Yea, one more thing... I now have a slight miss when idling - revs fine otherwise but I never had this slightly rough idle before the nest was removed.
thanks again

If the light is not working when clipped to a wire, there may be no spark coming through that wire. Check it for spark.

I do not know MSD so some other soul may be of help.

No need V8kilr - I put the nest back on. I couldn't get the thing to run as smooth as it ran before taking it off. The reason my timing light wasn't working right was because my MSD was toasted. Went out and bought another one and even with the new MSD, I couldn't get the car to run / idle smooth without the emmisions. Anyway, the car works fine - shouldn't have fucked with the emmisions in the first place. If I have vac leak problems down the road, I'll try removing it again. Thanks anyway !!

Note - based on the responses (or lack of), I think most of the members are a little sick of the "rat's nest" removal posts. So.... how bout dem leafs ??

Hockey? I think we even have that in Texas now, although I bet no Texans play it.
