85 dimmer switch

Anyone know how to remove to dimmer switch in an 85? I think I cooked it because everything that's on the dimmer switch is dead. I tried to get in behind it but it's totally buried. I thought maybe i could pry it off but don't want to snap any clips or anything. Any ideas?

No problem. I'm in the process of ripping out my interior so while I'm at it I can see if I find an easy way to get it out.

yep, headlight motors still work, glove box light still works, even the backlighting to the clock still works but the instrument panel lights don't, the ashtray light doesn't and the temperature control doesn't.

I can't remember the exact way they come out, but I remember it was a real pain in the ***.
I'll see If I can find a spare one to see the mounts on it.
