help with gls-se

My cars clutch petle goes to the floor but it does not come back up. I checked the fluid and it was totally empty. I refilled it and tried to prime the system by pumping the clutch petel. I get no pressure and the fluid resivor stays full. I don't know if there is a leak or what. Could some one give me some advice on what to look for and how to fix it.

Nopi has them for the cheapest that I have seen.

You may want to look into getting a slave cylinder while you are at it.

$120? Brand new at Advanced for both is like $75. Kits are $30 for both with tax.

It's one of the easier thing you can do to your car. Invest in a metric line wrench though. I think all the hydro fittings are 10mm. About a 1.5 hour job by yourself.

first i would try bleeding the system. pumping the pedal if unbled doesnt do anything. U have to pump and get the fluid to come out of the slave cylinder.

I use a modified master cylinder cap so I can run an air hose into it. I use very low pressure. I bleed the system this way in a few seconds. I do my brakes this way too. Works every time.

If there are no visible leaks on the master cylinder i would check the tranny for leaked fluid, i had that happen to my -se and i was putting new fluid in once a week

I bled the system and now I have clutch pressure. It was probally easier than changing the air filter.

If you are losing enough fluid to empty the cylinder, I would say it's time to fix it .
Cheapest it a rebuild kit..probably like $15 and takes 10 minutes to do.

Biggest PITA is actually getting the MC out of the car, since the 2 nuts are damm hard to reach...
