GSLSE wont hold idle

car is starting fine then revs to 3k then tries to die or either bearly idle but if i touch the gas at all it goes right to 3k and immeditaly back down to trying to stall again, I know the car has an exaust leak, compression in both front and rear rotors is 97 psi , it has new plugs, wires, and the igniters seem to be working fine as do both coils, I am about to tear the whole intake off and look for possible air leak somewhere but everything seems at this pt like it is hooked up right any ideas most likely it is something stupid and i should have the exhust leak fixed by tonight, any suggestions would be great thanks.........

How long has it done this? Has it done this since doing work on the car? Usually with a big vac leak on these cars, the engine will barly run without holding the throttle. They wil want to die if the rpms fall below around 3000 or so. Make sure the AFM is plugged in. Check the intake duct to make sure it hasn't separated from one of the connections. Check the couple large hoses on top (one goes from the black intake tue to the RE-EGI box and the other goes from the RE-EGI box to the BAC (valve on the drivers side of the RE-EGI box). Good luck.
