GSL-SE turbo project: intake questions

Hey i have some questions about using the stock intake on my turbo-gsl-se project.

I want the IC piping to come off the turbo, go in front of the raditator, come out the other side, and then go into the intake from the same side it comes out.

The stock intake inlet is on the wrogn side for this!!! is it possible to maybe just turn the intake around? (for instance, you would read the RE-EGI from the other side of the car)

Also, if anyone wants to give me a free large intercooler, all donations are accepted.

You gonna need a shitload more than an intercooler... Good luck with those 5 and 6th ports while you turbo it..

Just use an intercooler that has both the inlet and outlet on the same side. Again, the Conquest/Starion intercoolers are popular for this.

If your going through the trouble of mounting a IC, might as well just pipe it to fit the car (easier and cheaper than trying to swap the direction of the upper manifold). As I see it, you have several options:

1) buy an IC with inlet and outlet on the same side, and pipe through the passenger side only.

2) just pipe a through style IC, back around to the passenger side, either infront of the radiator or behind. I'd choose infront of, as It would be easier to make a clean install, and you don't have to pipe around moving pullies and stuff

It's not possible without cutting and fabbing. Plus the stock intake on GSL-SE barely let's enough air through for the GSL-SE engine. Now if you put a turbo, it will be worse.

If you just want to turn the plenum (dynamic chamber) around it is possible. The intake runners leave the bottom of the plenum in a symmetrical pattern which they don't do on any of the 2nd gen manifolds which means that if you reverse the plenum 180 degrees the runners will still line up. However, the bolt holes do not. It would involve drilling new ones, tapping them, and praying that everything fits perfectly. May need a little grinding. The oil filler neck would probably be in the way as well. The stock manifold does flow really poorly. I swapped a 2nd gen manifold onto mine and am about to turbo it. Just route the piping back to the same side its easier. If you use an intercooler where the fins run vertically then the air can be let in and out on the same side which will reduce piping length. Are you planning to run some sort of stand alone efi such as a Haltech? You 'can' make the stock system work with just a fuel pressure regulator and an aic but I wouldn't recommend it.
