ground control vs. g-force engineering
I believe that Jim Susko at G-Forces uses Ground Control perches and other parts except for the springs. He uses Hypercoils which are great. I would pick up the G-Force set up manual first through. The $75 I spent on my suspension.
I think that G-Force is the place to buy from because he is still into first gens. Ground Control is busy with other lines than mazda first gens.

I've got the g-force manual. Jim Susko knows what he is talking about. He can make a 1st gen handle like a true race car. His does 1.3g's in a corner! Go for g-force just get the manual first.
One of the agreements that you have with Jim Susko when you buy his manual is that you do not copy it and redistribute it for free. Just because there aren't any police watching doesn't mean I'll copy it. So no I won't.
Most of Jim's mods are aimed at competing in Solo II, IT, and EP. They aren't even the greatest thing for street use unless you like driving a very low car with a very stiff rough riding suspension setup, but it will turn good!

If you can't spend $75 for the manual, you can't afford to modify your suspension.

i was more or less joking about getting a free copy of the manual. i am going to buy it once i can.
Can anyone tell me the procedure for installing the coil-over kits? Is it a very straight forward thing, or is it complicated? Anyone got any photos of the finished product?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
How is it done though?
Do you slip the threaded collar over the stock strut, to rest on the lower spring perch? Or is there more to it.
I'm just curious. It is something I'd like to do soonish. I'm very interested in having an excellent suspension setup.
Also, do GC or G-Force ship overseas?

You take out the strut, cut off the stock spring perch and weld on the 2 1/2" spring perch. Jim at G-Force suggest that you weld the perch such that the bottem of your 8" spring can be adjusted to sit 9" from the bottom of the strut.
I am sure that Jim will ship overseas but I would just by the manual from him. Then buy the parts local because overseas shipping will kill you.

gForce / Jim Susko
Jim is a great guy and knowledgable. He is an enthusiast / engineer first, and runs the business more as a passion than anything else. I race against him regularly, and run his TriLink / Panhard / Springs.
Last race, a competitor hit me, and a mount for the Panhard broke. Jim towed my car back to gForce World Headquarters (his house), fixed it, and back to the track that night so I could race on Sunday. All for the price of gas and a meal from Wendy's.
He gets my business whenever possible.
