going methanol injection....
yep yep, i ordered a methanol injection kit for my turbo setup. it's a progressive setup so it comes on a little with boost then as you get higher in the psi it sprays more (running it in to the manifold). this seems to be a perfect addition, 5 bucks to fill the gallon resevior and it lasts around 500 miles before the next fill up. not sure if any of you know what this is supposed to do (if you have a turbo i suggest researching this), but the few cars we tested it on at my friends shop they were able to run ATLEAST 15 degrees more advanced on timing and higher boost. NOOOOO DETONATION or PINGING. it's friggin rediculous AND CHEAP! just curious if anyone on here is using this type of setup. i hope to see a good 30rwhp gain. by the by, i got the whole kit for less than 400 bones. fork spraying n2o on the intercooler.

here; found a good read. it's not really the setup i have and he claims it doesnt work on a carbed car but that must be because he's using a different controller. it will give you the basic idea of how it very effectively cools down temps!

if you do a chemical analisis.... methanol will not mix with gas, its chemically impossible!!
already thought of that.... wont mix with ethanol either...........
i do know of an additive that boosts h/p though..................................

I wouldnt think that methanol would need to chemically mix with gasoline, just evenly disperse throughout the air fuel mixture. Cause hell, it's all going to combust anyways! I've considered doing an alcohol/water injection system myself, and have looked into it quite a bit. If you can get it right, it will lower air/fuel charge temps, and increase the octane rating. In the end, you have a turbo setup thats safer for your engine.
