3L220 is the belt size=V Belt, 3l, 3/8 X 22 In. Not realy an automotive belt. Lawnmower supply house maybe better.

Dont get a LawnMower belt!

Call around to the auto parts stores and get a GATES belt XL 7215.

I have had 2 of these on my last 2 engines!

This is the only way to go!

There is no specific number for an rx7 air pump delete. Just measure around the path of the
remaining pulleys and get a belt close to that size.

I dont want to argue but this is not a great idea.

The size is 21.5" so you want a 21.5" belt.

The 3L220 will work but it is a 22" belt and will probably be too big, slip, heat up, shred, fail............

It is a band-aid regardless and is not the proper way to do it.

Dual slot pulley or a gilmer is the only way to do it properly.

i ordered a dual slot pulley from re-speed and it doesnt look like everyone elses. the belts are closer together with less spacing in between them on the pulley and it makes the outboard belt(closest to fan) out of alignment. i emailed them a while back telling them this and they sent an email back saying my stuff must be out of alignment because theyve never had this problem. i can clearly see that my pulley is different than everyone elses and the spacing is closer between the grooves. it will run for a day or two but end up flipping the belt inside out and then throwing it off. has anyone else had this problem with the re-speed unit? it was the cheapest so thats why i used it

Pineappleracing.com has an RX7-specific replacement belt for about $15

Not sure why you would want to pay twice as much from a "race" shop for a belt. I got that Gates belt for $7 and it works great, perfect fit half the price.

Been running their belt for almost 3 years now with no problems. Belt was a touch
tight to put on, but then again there is no adjustment between the water pump and
main pulley. My alternator belt shredded once, and I was still able to drive home.

It helps support the RX7 venders. I would go through a forum vender and/or RX7
specific shop before I grab a belt that was made for another application (even if it is
only an $8 difference).

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

since noone answered and it seems to be on topic ill make it plain... are there 2 different dual belt pulleys for the alternator with different spacing for the 2 belts? my 2 grooves are alot closer than everyone elses i see and throws the front belt off after a day. respeed says its the right pully but i say they are wrong. has anyone else had this problem?

I just installed the RESPeed belt on my car with no issues. I used two alternator belts, and they both fit. I did initially have a problem, however, because my main pulley was loose (those 4 10mm bolts) and that threw everything off.

all of mine are tight. 2 brand new dayco belts. everything perfect. only on my double alt pulley the 2 grooves are closer together than everyone elses... at the next meet i might try to swap with someone elses or hold them sidebyside and see. about to just buy a pulley from another company i guess

Here, I went out and took some measurements of mine from the front of the pulley to the back of both belts. Looks like about 0.65" and 1.00" respectively.

Hope this helps.
