Fuel not getting past carb inlet

I recently swapped carbs it was running fine with the stock one but I wanted a lil extra power so I threw a 48 idf on but I took the idf off and threw the old one on but now zero fuel gets through, it comes straight out of the fuel return I tried plugging it and turning the fuel pressure up but that didn’t work I tried tapping the banjo bolt no luck there I don’t think the carbs clogged from gunk or anything so what could be causing this

That's an odd issue. The first thing I would check is to make sure the inlet screen is not clogged. Is the vent bowl solenoid plugged in and functioning?

I checked the inlet screen it seems to be fine. No the vent bowl solenoids not plugged. I recently removed the rats nest and I still need to plug some holes would that cause anything?

The inlet screens good and no the vent bowl solenoid isn’t plugged in. I removed the rats nest and put in a new fuel pump and fuel regulator recently do you think I could’ve messed something up there

What about the little filters on the inlet of the bowl needle valves?

Wow! That picture is big!

Will I have to strip the carb down to get to that if I do I’m thinking of just rebuilding it. Also I tapped the banjo bolt with the fuel pump on and a little fuel came through while I was tapping it

You have to remove the top. On a stripped Nikki that is easy to do. I cant remember how difficult it is if the Nikki has all the emissions stuff installed.

It's not too bad on a fully equipped Nikki to pull the top plate while still in the car. The choke does have to come off so getting the choke spring back on the shaft is a bit of a pain but that's about the only bad part.
