Carb not getting fuel

I was in the process of swapping my stick carb for a 48idf but I decided to throw the old one back on for a little bit while I get it ready but now that I got the stock one back on it’s not getting any fuel to the bowls I tried plugging the fuel return and turning the psi up but that didn’t work the floats aren’t stuck either does anyone have any ideas

What kind of car are you working on? You do have fuel pressure to the carb? RX-7 Nikki carbs sometime respond favorably to a tap on the banjo fitting directly above the needle valve.

I did that already do you think I needa plug any hoses cuz I removed the rats nest not to long ago and I didn’t plug the holes yet would that affect anything cuz before it ran perfect but when I threw it back on zero fuel was making it into the bowls

Can you confirm that you have fuel up to the inlet on the carb? How long has the original carburetor been sitting?
