Fuel Problems?
After much dismay I'm still having problems with my car. In my last thread I was expanding why my car hasn't been working good when the secondaries open up. When the secondaries are open after 4500 or so the car just sputters. I can open them up lower than that and it works great, but at about 4500 its just sputtering. I replaced the fuel filter as well as plugs and I'm getting no success.
Tonight I took apart the air horn and cleaned out the jets, and in putting it back together I f'd it up again. I have fuel in the bowls but I'm having none go into the carb. Plus, my starter doesn't want to seem to work. The battery is good but it doesn't want to crank on it much, I have to shut it off for a few seconds to get it to go again.
Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm confident I can get tonights carb issues sorted but I'm still clueless on my secondary problem.

Check for proper fuel flow to the carb. Unhook the fuel line to the carb, and get a container to catch the fuel. The pump should supply about 1L per minute.
Without proper fuel flow getting to the carb, it will act as you describe, because the carb actually runs out of fuel under hard acceleration.

Anybody have any more ideas? I got the carb back together, turns out I had fuel in only one bowl. Cars back and running, but still with the sputter when the secondaries are open. Its getting really fusterating, I swear I've checked everything.
