Fuel Line Size & Routing

I've come accross a small stumbling block in rebuilding my car, the fuel lines don't seem to be matching up well.

The '84 GSL-SE frame I am using has a GSL-SE fuel pump going to it. My first issue is that the larger of the three lines coming off the gas tank is a size larger than 3/8" as I can't get a 3/8" EFI Line to fit over the nipple. The second issue is that the second largest line from the tank, (1/4" I believe) is larger than than the 1/8" hard line running along the car.

Anyone know the proper sizes of the hardlines and tubing for the fuel system?
The routing I can see from the FSM but I am not seeing anything on their indiviudal tube diameters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

its kind of german style, so the line from the tank to the pump is 10mm? maybe 12? then from the pump to the engine its 8mm (5/16), return is also 8mm. vent might be 6mm?

5/16 = 8mm...

if you still want real metric stuff, bmw/mercedes usually stock 1m lengths, it goes bad on those cars

mazda stuff lasts forever, but its about $300 a foot

I went with 1/2" rubber line from tank to Carter 110 GPH pump. The pump came with 1/2" fittings so it all worked out in the end. Then after the pump I had to adapt it down to the car's size of 5/16" or 8mm.

Okay so I was right about my suspicions of the main feed line being larger than 3/8"

BTW how did you adapt down the lines?

They make step down fittings? I couldn't find any at my local autoparts store so I didn't know if they were common place.

ACE Hardware or something similar. NOT Lowe's or Home Depot.

Jeff did you modify the tank pick up and return hard line or just the rubbers?

I used a GSL-SE tank which has a 1/2" send line. The pump is 1/2" in and out. On the output side I used some brass fittings to go from a 1/2" barb to a 5/16" barb so it would work with the car's stock fuel line. So, no I didn't modify any rubbers.
