Fuel Injection help

This is my current situation. I have a 79' GS but doing a 91' n/a swap while switching from carb to fuel injection. I have both lower and upper manifolds, harness, and ecu. I wanted to know what else is needed to perfect this swap. Also for those who have done this already, how did you connect both harnesses etc etc.

ps. Sorry if someone already made a post about this but I didnt find anything regarding it, only that they were doing a swap and thats it.

You will need to upgrade the entire fuel system. Since you are doing an S5 swap, look over Steve84gs's posts. While his is turbo, most of the swap is the same and he is running 300 CARB approved hp.

Youll need EVERYTHING involved with the right side main harness.All sensors and input/output devices that plug into that big harness.The S5 ECU is smart and will know if something is missing.This includes the rats nest and all items bolted to the engine.You can leave some of them off and not have any running problems,but the ECU will know and the check engine light will be on all the time,if you install a MIL light.

To get mounted,youll need a GSL-SE oilpan and front cover.The front cover will have to be modded to acept the big S5 OMP or youll have to mounte the OMP off to the side with it plugged in,then run premix.This is the main,big problem with a S5 swap.The ECU absolutely must see the electronic oil metering pump in place and working or the engine will forever be in limp mode.

The left side harness must be custom made.Its only about 10-12 wires and its easy to lay out and solder up.It powers the ECU,coils,fuel pump and circuit opening relay.An FC main fuse box and main relay will make this a lot easier and you wont have to cut/splice into the 1st gen wiring harness at all.Get a S5 FSM,its imperitive for deciphering the wiring and vacuum/smog systems.

Youll need to make some mods to the fuel tank/system in order to deliver reliable,high pressure fuel to the engine.Do a search looking for S5 swaps,my name,or just TII swaps in general.There is tons of info already here,it gets asked every day,and Ive already typed this crap a million times over,so I really dont want to get much more elaborate because Im a terrible typist!!
