the frst drve

got my FC oil cooler installed today(first install it was only like 4" off the ground lol, had to rework it but got it in finally), started it up... backed it out of the driveway, drove it around the block once, came back, realized i forgot to plug in my brake booster(didn't notice anyways cause i have no front calipers right now), so put that vacuum hose on, started it back up, its idling at 2k right now, i'll work on getting it lower, but i don't expect much less than 1.5k... so i start it again, drive it around the block, in my excitement miss my driveway so i drive it around again... pass by these annoying kids on dirt bikes, let it rip, they r lookin at my car the whole way, probly the only thing on the street louder than their stupid dirt bikes, take a turn in 1st tires rip loose easy, next turn decide to take it in 2nd... same results, 2nd just lets it rip, its got a lot more power than i expected, and i still didn't even go over 5k... got it back, played with the idle a little bit more, but now i'm all jittery with excitement, so i had to stop working on it, not to mention its almost dark... brake calipers hopefully tomorrow, and then tabs, and hopefully next week insurance... start my new job next week too, making almost double what i'm making now, so things r going real well for me... i've been on the edge of giving up on this car since my last TII's motor went out because of a shoddy mechanic who also wouldn't uphold his warrantee....

I'm stuck in "Eventually my car will be more than a shell with an interior, front suspension, and one wheel" ...

got the front calipers in, the brakes work, but my master cylinder isn't holding pressure, i think its due to the missing round thing that goes under the cap... gotta get me one of them lol... other than that, aired up the tires and its driving pretty well... got the idle to where i figured itd be, about 1.5k, had a carb issue on the way(whats the point of having a carb if u don't gotta keep fixing it!!), but that was easily resolved, and now its a driveable car... holy hell its about time... had the car since jan 04, and it only drove a total of 15 minutes before now...
