Unhappy flooding problem i think

well im new here to the whole rotary scene, as in i just bought my 82 rx7 yesterday lol.

but to the point, i drove it 107 miles from the dealer to my house and all yesterday fine, but today its having serious starting issues today, i put the choke in and tried to start it, but it keeps trying to turn over, and it started but i gave it a little throttle to help stabilize the idle, and it stalled, so i gave it a minute or two off and now it wont start at all, it just smells a little like gas, and almost starts,(it kind of pops like its trying but it cant hold it)
what do i do, by the way it has 145000 miles on it and it ran strong on the freeway yesterday so i think its seels are fine

what you need to do is take the leading spark plugs out the bottom ones..i think you did flood the engine..make sure their dry before putting them back in and then try again..

Like DJ said, dump a little Seafoam down the carb, then try again...

If the seafoam doesn't work, take out ALL the plugs(don't just ake out the leading cause then the trailing plugs are fouled and wont fire once it does fire up and it run like crap), disable the ignition and fuel, turn it over for 5 seconds at a time or until the fuel mist is gone. Dry and clean the plugs, reinstall, connect the ignition and fuel back up and fire it up.
