still flooding i replaced the vent solenoid tryed differant floats and turned fuel pressure down so far that it wont read on the guage. it will run for about 30 seconds with the pump going then it chokes and dies from to much fuel. if i unplug the pump it will stay running for about 3 min till the float bowls drain.

Sounds like the needle and seats are sticking, what is the fuel level in both float bowl windows?

On the other hand, you may have missed something in the rats nest removal.

it dose act like the needles are stuck but when i changed the floats they seemed ok. the float bowls fill till they over flow, dont know why. the carb was compleatly rebuilt about 5 months ago. that didnt seem to do much the car ran like crap till i put the holley pump on then it ran ok just didnt have much power.

put the stock pump back on now it runs at 3k rpm no more no less. when i give it gas it dies and i have played with just about every adjustment on there but nothing i do gets the idle down.
