i've never heard of that, but you can use the FD oil pressure regulator, its the inexpensive version of the race oil pressure regulator

I just replaced the oil pump on my 84 13B and can confirm that neither an FC or FD pump will fit. Ended up buying a 17mm pump from Mazdatrix. On my engine I shimmed the front regulator and I am using a Mazda Motorsports regulator. Pineapple Racing sells shims and modified rear regulators to increase oil pressure. https://www.pineappleracing.com/sear...find=Regulator

Pumps will increase flow, which will only increase pressure if your current pump cannot match whatever relief your regulator is set to. Pointing this out in case someone is under the impression that they'll get substantially more pressure without going to a later/adjustable regulator. The front shim mod is bunk IMHO.
