FC Coil Placement

I'm getting down to the last few things to do before I start my S5 NA swapped FB. One of the things I've really be struggling with is where to put the coils. I've been looking for the better part of an hour for pictures of what others have done. There are many pictures and write ups on using only the leading coil, but I will be using both and so have to find homes for both. Pictures and recommendations appreciated.

You may have to "halve" the coils into two separate pieces by taking the screws out. That's what I ended up doing when I did the 2gen leading coil swap. I put the coil part on the strut tower and the resistor part somewhere else and just wired it. Works great.

Well, I wanted to keep everything together. I worked on it for a while today and I'm happy with how it came out.

Good job. It appears that you do not have A/C. I'm sure this made things a little easier.

No A/C may have helped, but I think I still probably have room for the compressor. Having room for the condenser is another story. There just wasn't room for it where I put the oil cooler. I didn't realize how blurry those pictures are until now. I'll get some better ones tomorrow along with the rest of my progress pics.

That came out very well. Looks good. I put my FC coil on top of the block like the FD coils mount.

bshusted -- I can't tell you how happy I was seeing your coils mounted like that. Mine are in the exact same spot.

That's great to hear that someone else had a similar thought. I wanted to make them look like they were made to be there. I may change the bracket for the trailing coil at some point, but it's fine for now. Have any pictures of yours?

I looked through my photobucket account for pictures because my car is part at the moment (see my project thread...haha) and I couldn't find any. I will say that yours are more aesthetically pleasing -- mine aren't painted or anything!

I'll pull them from my external drive tonight if I can find them. I know I have pics somewhere.

I have mine hanging off the old mounts for the relays that were on the fender near the clutch master. Not using the trailing 2G coils tho. Heres a pic:
