FB 2 + 2 interior value?

I'm about to strip out an FB to build a historic rally car. It is an Ozzy spec car that has the 2 + 2 seating arrangement in excellent condition (50k mile car). Are these seats worth anything?

Short answer is yes, rear seats for an FB are pretty rare.

How much....no idea, perhaps another member will chime in.

In the meantime, please introduce yourself and share some photos of your car. We are an enthusiast community first, a selling venue second

Also please read the new member stickies and FAQ. We have minimum post requirements before buying/selling. As per the point above.

In the states they are rare since we didn't get them. Some folks have gotten them and installed but they are so small only children can fit. For safety reasons these days no one will put a child in them. Go figure. A few hundred bucks to the right buyer maybe.

might be worth a little something. except for hauling small children they're pretty much useless. some may want it for insurance purposes to list it as a 4 seater.

Thanks all.

My post wasn't an advertisement, I just wanted to know whether this interior should go in the skip or if it would be useful to someone who had a collector-grade car.

Thanks, I most certainly will have to join in.

I've been rallying Escorts for 34 years and have not a clue about RX7s. Struggling to solve a few tarmac rally car technical issues within the Group 1/2 homologation form, 1978 App J and current App. K.

Just figured out that Toyota AE86 front struts fit the RX7-FB TCAs and rod ends, have much stronger stub axles and hubs, shorter steering arms (to increase steering ratio), better brakes and look exactly like the originals on Pg 6 of Form 5713!

By the end of today I'll know f the AE86 rear dampers fit as well, looking promising.

Next challenge is to fit standard non-vented brake discs and calipers to the GLS-SE axle and find a lower CWP for the LSD. Then re-drill the halfshaft drive flanges for 108mm PCD Gp4 Escort wheel studs and wheels.

Not too many extras homologated in Gp2 for these cars, just CR gearbox, uprated suspension and engine. Planning on re-coring the standard radiator tank but FIA recently allowed aluminium replacements.

OMG, don't toss them in the skip. I cannot imagine nobody wanting them. Are you talking just the rear seats or all four seats?

so true.. people sell them for $400+

I actually used what was sold to me as an fb rear seat but ended up being an FC.. had to build a little frame for it, but cost me an arm and a leg and the seller screwed me on shipping... Canada.. agreed to a price then charged me an extra 150 for shipping.. I wanted it so I paid.. cost me around $400 total

throw them up for half price and they will sell

All four seats in brown with no tears and the carpet set. Come to think of it, the brown interior panels as well. They won't fit with the rollcage.

Yes, I run the Barbados Historic Rally Carnival, BimmaCup and Vaucluse Raceway. You can find me on Facebook.

But the car has to go back to UK at some point for an FIA rollcage and some other prep work so the interior could be taken out there.
