OKay guys, I'm shooting in the dark, but desperate for answers. Just bought a slightly used rebuilt 12a off ebay. Yeah, I know. But it was rebuilt by an outfit out of Maryland for SCCA IT racing. Thought I'd be getting a hot motor. So, living in small town USA and not mechanically inclined, I had a trusted mechanic install the motor which came with an IT carb, hot distributor,and high output alternator. My mechanic wasn't able to use these as they wouldn't connect to the factory hoses, ac, and computer, etc. Okay, now to the point. After installing it with my stock components, he told me that it starts and runs, but soon begins to exhaust through the carb (intake). ANY IDEAS??
