Im not sure, maybe I can get him to snap a pic of em, and post them here.

He's a new member, and him and his dad are swapping the '88 TII engine into his dads '72 510 Wagon.

New exhaust! (2 PICS)

New exhaust in da house! Stoked to slap this baby on after the tranny is in. Header, duel 2 inch straight pipe into a Monza Muffler. SWEET. and only $200

The guy I bought it from lives in Yarmouth which is like 3 hours way from me. So my dad called a friend of his down there and got him to buy the exhaust. Than my dads company was shipping a pre fabed house to Yarmouth, so they threw the exhaust on a transport truck, and delivered it to my dads plant, than dad brought it home.

Came with a ton of gaskets, and the papers and a sticker from Monza. And the guy was kinda enough to throw in the factory service manual of all the generation's of the RX-7 on a CD.

Let me guess...should have gone Racing Beat right?

Please post a video when you get it installed, because I'm thinking of doing a similar setup.

Are the bends on the muffler piping mandrel bent? And what is the inner diameter of the runners on the muffler, and on the tips? (was wondering if the inside diameter of the tips was tapered like my racingbeat muffler.)

Yes, the muffler is mandrel bent, I can take some closer pics. the tips do taper inwards, fairly small, but will help with noise, plus they are resonated tips. Ill snap a few more pics.

Godo thing you did not get the RB presilencer and went with the straight pipes. I went for a ride in the exact same setup as you, minus the straight pipe (he had the presilencer) and it was QUIET. I like your set up, true duals FTW!

I second the video request!

Awesome, do they taper down to <2", or do they taper down from 2.5" or 3" down to 2"?

Those pics show a crush bent tube...not mandrel....note the ridges just after the bend.

Oh, I meant that there were no kinks in the bends, it's all smooth. Nothing restrictive at all.

The tips taper from 3" down to about 1.5"

Ha, no clue, it'll probably burn or flake off within the first week. If it stays on it'll be covered in black soot in no time.

I was thinking about doing the exact same system, except using my RB header. But now that I've seen pics of the muffler up close I've changed my mind. I don't really like how the tips have a tiny, 1.5" hole in them, I'd prefer 2" all throughout the system if it's dual pipe and dual tip. Now I may just go long primary, and collect just before the axle, into a 2.5, and into a muffler of some sort.

Speaking of which, has anybody ever used one of these? (sorry to derail the thread.)

It seems like it would work, it's round, so no resonant problems like my current magnaflow, centred 2.5 inlet, dual exit, hopefully it's not too long.

This was my first muffler with factory manifold and no cats, really sounded good. Unique sound under load and nice rumble at idle. Nice set up.

I haven't commented in this thread yet because I know that exhaust is going to sound like my white REPU.

Well, get it in and fire it up for us.

Man, I was just cleaning up the header with my mini grinder, in preparation for VHT flame proof paint, when I found a crack in the weld where one of the pipes is welded to the flange.

Good thing one of my best friends has a MIG. Nothing a 2 inch bead won't fix.
