Engine build questions

So its time to put a new motor in my 83 and I have a few things at my disposal. So im looking for some insight into which would be the best way to go. To start with a have a S5 N/A that is in need of a rebuild and then my dad gave a me a big 4 port 13B out of his 76 Cosmo and the Dellorto and RB headers that were on it! So I was thinking what to do? My idea was the 4 port 13B with the rotating assembly from the S5 and a mild street port. What do you guys think?

god you guys go big don't you. I don't think the Dellorto 48 DLHA will keep up with a massive 13B bridge port lol and not to mention I want it drivable.

It will handle it. I plan on a 13b PP with 48IDA. Should run nice, and I will mod the carb to be a 51... or 52

But on your application, just go SP.

not much to know really. 12lbs rotors like the gsl-se, irons are like a 12a, pre 79 will NOT be nitrided. 3mm steel apex seals....

if it was mine, id pop the motor apart, replace all the seals, bump the oil pressure, put a 17mm pump in it, if it doesnt have one, and put it back together.

an upgrade is the s5 rotors, and cw's and flywheel.

skip the half bridge, its pointless.

Thanks j9fd3s !! I knew I could count on you for that info. where can this 17mm pump be found? Also does the old 13Bs still use the 225mm clutch disk? And my last question for now. How far will this set-up rev?
