The 85 SVO Mustang I had came with a speedo like that - hash marked to 130 or so but no numbers. Meanwhile the 85GT I still have stops at 85. Also remember that allot of speedos from that era placed extra emphasis on the 55MPH point on the gauge face.

Conveniently, the 55 speed limit was changed the year after I graduated from college. It was sooooooooo much fun driving from KC, KS to Emporia KS on I-35 at 60MPH.

I had this same initial issue with getting a fresh build started with my own rebuild. I have a vid of it turning over with no plugs and fuse pulled for the pump and ignition to do some deflooding. From the clip it sounds like it's got good compression. And plenty of fuel and tested the plugs one by one and all had great spark. Also timing is set to the factory 0" leading and trailing is set to the pulley trailing mark.... other than fresh build issue starts what am I missing? It's got the totally new to me weber setup but is getting fuel. So hows it sounding thus far?

Already posted this in another thread but the owner sadly passed away this last Saturday. We're going forward with getting it running for his daughter who he wanted to have his car. Still trying to get it running due to what we believe now is something up with the ignition. Its getting spark but with the temperamental 1980 ignition i think the problem lies in that. Really hoping for some progress and break thru trouble shooting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you fellow club members.
