ebay seats? good or bad
I have been looking for some new seats to replace my old ones.
i want to put in some racing seats but the sparco and such are pretty expensive. there are however some cheaper nice looking ones on ebay, but does anyone have any knowledge of the seats?
are they comfortable?
fit well? etc.
also if anyone knows where to get some other seats any help is apprciated

first of all most ebay seats are real heavy and they charge way to much for shipping, you need to make for darn sure the exact size seat you need before ordering as you will be paying out the *** for shipping to send them back if you get this wrong, iirc any seat over 35" tall will fit....but might be really tight to the ceiling and possibly not fit depending on your size and if your ever going to track it you need to know that a helmut will add a inch or two.
as for sparco seats I have the sprint model which is the cheapest sparco availible at the time, it was 280 dollars each and fits good in the car. If your willing to squeeze into the small bucket seat all the time it works great and feels even better once you start pushing the car, alltho if you weigh over 200 pounds you will prolly not fit to these seats, they are a good fit for me at 6-1, 170 but if i add any more weight on I will need new seats. -on the bright side no fat chicks LOL
Something important to think about is the exhaust hump on the passenger side will lose you a few inches for the mounting position, driverside is alot simpler so take that into effect when choosing your new seats.
good luck on finding something you like

i bought some DAD seats off ebay, free shipping, they are allright. Only thing i dont like is they arent that solid, as in the back will wiggle an inch or so even when its locked, im sure some personal touches could take care of it though. Mounting only took a couple hours though.

NO its $125 fot the pair and $140 for the pair shipping for a total of $265. Very good deal. There was a tread where some installed these. the passengers seats are a bitch no mater which 1's you go with.

Most reclining seats, and especially the cheap eBay ones you're looking at are made out of a steel frame and springs, compared to cloth/padding covered fiberglass/carbon fiber/carbon kevlar like the good seats. (Sparco, Momo, Bride, Recaro, etc.) The difference is that many reclinable or bar&spring seats aren't as good or illegal at tracks, depending on the organization and course, and as far as a safety issue they don't distribute the load of impacts/crashes evenly like a solid non-reclinable or non-cheapo seat would.
So if you are going to be doing anything serious with the seats I say save your money and do it right, get the good stuff. But if you just want the looks...
