Toyota AE86 front struts look exactly the same, attach to the TCA the same way, have larger stub axles and bearings, have been proven in competition and have several different lengths of steering arms available from various Toyota models, all of which are shorter than the Mazda ones. This is important since RX7 competition high-ratio steering boxes are as rare as hens' teeth.
So: pair of Corolla AE86 uprights, Bilstein strut tubes, Escort 260/60 Bilstein insert with the top stud turned down to Mazda 17mm, custom alloy hubs with 108mm Gp4 Escort studs and disc mounting holes for the AP disc above (which is Escort gravel disc).
The alloy hubs are made in Ireland by Group 4 Fabrications for AE86 rallyists who want to run common Escort wheels and brakes.
Last problem to solve is caliper mounting bracket to upright.
The toyota bottom ball joint has a different taper but it fits in the RX7 TCA so new ball joints and problem solved.
The RX7 steering tie rod ball joint taper is exactly the same as Toyota so high-ratio steering sorted.
Last front suspension job will be boxing the bottom of the TCAs, adding inner rose joints to adjust camber and rose-jointing the tension struts.

Thanks Luke. Please send it to me by Facebook Messenger. I've been told the 80/81 Millen RAC rally car had AP 4-pots on it while entered in Gp2 and GpA but they are definitely not in the homologation form for either group.
