do i need to rebuilt my engine yet?

i have a 84 GSL se

i feel like the car is still fast
but i can not go fast enought in the first gear
is that the transmission problem?
if i want to rebuilt the engine

What do you mean, you can't go fast enough in 1st? Does your transmission howl or make any other noises?

Maybe you should just sell your SE to me for a few dollars. Then I'll check it out.
