Dammit!! Clutch issues.....

Ok SOOOOO this is whats going on. I was driving home from work and everything was great then about 1/4 mile from my house i was switching gears from first to 2nd then my cluth lost pressure but it did not stay on the floor...after a second or two pressure came back but it was hard to get out of first gear. The cluthc fluid is at the max line so i have NO leaks. I replaced the clutch SLAVE cylinder about 3-4 months ago but i have not replaced the MASTER (i have never replaced the master on this car). I am hoping its the master because that has been on there since i bought it. Hope fully its not the pressure plate or anything like that cause i know i am gonna have to drop the tranny for that (also is that a bitch of a job to do??) Any ideas guys?

Most likly the piston in your MC is bad... going bad.

If it's time to replace the clutch all together it's not to bad.

MC or SC

Master cylinder bad and while you're at it replace the slave cylinder. If you're going to do the work yourself prepare to bust some knuckles, getting at the bolts on the MC is a real bear as it is a very tight fit. Good luck

I would recommend replacing both the slave and master cylinder at the same time. Also you should replace the clutch line while your at it. Take the 3 month old slave cylinder and keep it as a spare. I might be able to find you a new, not rebuilt or remanufactured, Daikin clutch master and slave cylinder with a new clutch line for a good price. PM me if your interested with the year of your Rx7 and what engine it has.

I prefer replacing the master, slave and line at the same time. In your case, the slave should be fine, just make sure you flush the old fluid out well.
