Cool Coilover install results

Well here's the pics of the car after the install(see thread link for details) https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/coilover-progress-pics-part1-526720/

The front is 4.5 inches off the ground and the gap between the fender and the tire is about 5/8 of an inch.
Front tires are 205/50/15.
I wanted to go lower but I need to roll out the fender and cut the rear fenders and install my Fender Flares.
Eibach rear 200# springs on the back with a single coil cut off, gonna go another coil after I cut the fenders.
Now the Slammed is on for the GSL!
Watcha think!

Not bad, not as harsh as I was expecting with the 400lb springs, very driveable, the front was not alinged right and it gets unstable at speeds over 60mph.
gonna take it back and check the toe.

Are you sure all your tie rods, bushings and idler arm are in good shape?

You can check your own toe by using a tape measure across the front of the tires and then again at the rear using a constant point to measure from. The difference is you toe, excess on front is toe out, excess of rear toe in....

The clearance is fine, I used Camber plates with 2.5 inch coil springs.
I want to find somebody with a English wheel and work my front fender lip and stretch it out abit.

See, that's what I thought mine would look like with the RB springs. I need to go lower.

Definately not recommended this will change your spring rate, and make it handle and ride like crapola

Ground Control was the best place to go for the U-Weld coilover kit and rear springs. Shocks are something you want to shop for, illumina's are the way to go due to the top adjustment as opposed to the Koni, I got lucky and did one complete turn of adustment on the Koni's and it's perfect for Drifting. I cut a single coil off the rear and will problably do another once the fenders are cut and the flares/Skirt installed.

www.racersareme.com This is what i used for the front. Nice units at a good price.

I would recommend Konis over Illuminas despite the adjustment difficulties.
