Clip that holds wire to pil pressure sender. How complex is it?

Had the wiring loom off and now I am missing the clip that attaches the wire to the oil pressure senser. Brown/yellow wire has a bare end where the clip used to be, must have snapped off as I was wrestling with the starter motor reinstall. I will source the correct part, but for now is that a simple connection that would work if I were to find some way to attach the exposed end of the wire to the mushroom on the end of the sender? Or is there something more complex going due to the odd shape of the connector?

Forgive the stolen pics.

And to help source a replacement part... what is that odd mushroom shaped connector called? Hard to search when you dont know what to call it!

oil pressure sender unit is the correct terminology

you need to source a clip similar to this example https://www.repairconnector.com/prod...Connector.html

Female spade connector works for now. Just wanted to make sure that the odd shape of the male connector did not indicate something more complex needed than a straight forward single wire connection. About to start engine for first time and would be nice to have confidence that the oil pressure reading is real. Thanks for the lead on the GM part. Will go ahead and order.
