Oil Pressure Sensor Clip Broke: What To Do?
Oil Pressure Sensor Clip Broke: What To Do?
I was driving up to visit my mom for the weekend today. The oil pressure wire clip had already been loose and took some finagling to make good contact. Well today, after repositioning it five times, the wire broke at the clip.
So, what are my options to replace the clip? I'm not really wanting to just wrap the wire around the contact.

And the female spade is a HELL of a lot easier to remove without that stupid round terminal of the sender perfectly cutting into your thumb once the clip releases.
Ok. So I replaced the clip. Found something meant for a GM that is nearly identical to the stock.
HOWEVER, it now reads zero pressure. Except for a brief moment where it made it up to 30psi. I've got a good connection between the wire and the new clip plug, and snug fit on the OP sender. But no signal. Did I maybe fry something?
