check out this 60k '80 SA i picked up!

hey ya'll! so the story goes the guy bought it as a graduation present to himself when he finished high school. he drove it around but never changed the title over to his name, then he lost the title... so he parked it about 4 years ago. well it popped up a few months ago! he went to start it and bam, nothing. surprise surprise

my buddy lives across the street from him and knew i was big into 1st gens so he hits me up, said he talked to the owner and he'd be willing to sell, asking $2500. i get his number, send him pics of mine, tell him who i am and that im an admin on the 1st gen rx7 facebook page, how many 1st gens i've owned... etc etc. i meet up, check it out and talk him down to 1900 $ !

has a dent i think i can pull on the back left and 1 small rust hole. title confirms, 60k miles ! it has AC too ! base model with no sunroof
I need a steering wheel and a driver seat. ordered a fuel pump already, and i need a battery of course. im hoping the starter is still in working order, idk. i'll figure it out. just wanted to share!

Wow!!! What a great find!!! Thats one to restore for sure!!! It has great history and appears to be completely unmolested! What are your plans for the car?

So are you able to get the title in your name?

Nice find. And I'm impressed, you really stuck the landing up there.

Lost the title and the title confirms mileage?
NJ has some lenient rules for out of state old cars that don't have titles being able to get titled. Is MD similar?
Really digging those rocker decals. My FB had a matching dent to that too.

sorry for the confusion... the p/o never transfered the title into their name. it was left as an open title.
He found the open title he never transfered over into his name a few months ago and was like "oh hey cool there that thing is!" , then since he found the title, decided to sell since it's been sitting and wont start as is.
So i have the title now, still in the last owners name he bought it from and yes i can get it into my name very easily!

im planning to get it running and on the road, get the AC going, and throw temps on it. see how i like it then decide if i want to have a second rx7 or not lol

Very nice find. ATF that thing and see if she cranks. Love the SA wheel compared to the FB that center piece though, part of why I always tuck them away. UV is bad..
