Well it has a clean carfax and the VIN shows as registered in Massachusetts... like all ebay cars it bears some diligence but there's no real proof it's a scam. It was originally from Alabama.

Asking price maybe == auction opening bid? Obviously an actual asking price that low will spook anyone with two brain cells to rub together.
