Carburator help....
hey, iv got an 85 gsl. on the carburator it has 4 barrels (2 big and 2 small). the small barrals work good when ideling and acceleration, but when u ask for some power the 2 big barrels are supposed to open up and shoot some gas, but they dont. i took the carburator out and rebult it and cleaned all the jets hoping to solve the problem. i think mazda made it like that on purpose to save gas milage. does any1 know if their is a way to tune them? or make the big barrels to work? thanks

well, the last post lost me.......
but anyways, if you are checking them while parked it's likely you won't see them opening cause the vacuum needs load to open them. there is a way to make the mechanical though. check out the 1st gen faq thread and it will show you how to do it. good luck.

Do the conversion to mechanical secondaries. Its very easy and an awesome upgrade in my opinion. At least you will know for a fact that they are opening when they are supposed to...
