What kind of fuel pressure do you have? How about a carb rebuild?

Could be float levels or other fuel blockage? You drain the bowls when you go to 6k, still empty when you shift. By the time you have shifted again the bowls have had a chance to refill....

If that sounds right, then start with your banjo fittings on the top of the fuel lines where they enter the carb. They have little screens in them that can clog. If those look good then its time for a carb rebuild, you might have some buildup slowing the flow of fuel into the bowls....Maybe..

On the other hand, the Doctor has probably already nailed it for you anyway!!!

It could be the fuel pump itself is going by-bye. Do a volume and pressure test, as per the FSM or Haynes.
