it's all a waste of time. Do like I'm doing.

Go to the u pull it yard, find a 302 HO for $100 complete. Buy some aluminum heads, make up some mounts, and drop that biach in.

Instant 150hp gain, better gas milage, same weight balance, and some reliability to boot!

FLAME AWAY! :-D

not a bad idea. They accepted piston-powered rotary cars at Sevenstock.

same weight balance???

and as far as ida vs. holley, well this is the only reference i could find, but it looks to me as if the holley either tied or beat the ida, and never lost in any comparison the both had done....so you tell me http://www.racingbeat.com/PDF/intakeguide.pdf

btw, i run a holley 600 on my stock 4 port 13b, runs like a champ

ok ok, so it adds about 40lbs up front. Big FN deal!

Besides, who wants PS, AC,etc... all I need is an motor and an alt, and I'm good to go!

FYI, I've got a half bridge 13B with a GT40 turbo in a miata. Weird...I take the rotors out of where they belong, and put them where they don't. Hell, it's all FORD anyway :-D

813KR$, unless "webbers" are some kind of cheap Weber knock-off made in Hong Kong, I have to suggest that perhaps wackyracer may know a bit more than you.
Try to do some research on people you choose to disrespect. You might be suprised at the book of knowledge you're trash-talking.

Also, your "data" attesting the granduer of the Holley carburetor is not an universally accepted format.
Tell us your 1/4 mile times. Still, I don't have any for the Sterling Carb to compare it to -yet. But if you're certain that Holleys are the be all and end all of the "What Carb?" question, well then You Go, Girl!

Do you meet with your agent daily or something? I mean, that shouldn't be a reason to look so old!

yes cuz only a newbie like you believe that that's the industry price for the weber?

please.................. you can get BOTH the mani and carb for 5-7 bills if you look in the right places. it's like..... "d0 a search n0ob!!"

wacky's tried both 600cfm holley and IDA and it's not like his suggestion is leaning towards negativity to obtain max performance. he's just giving his technical opinion and no way is it right to diss someone who has "experience" rather than quickly bad mouthing.

i have a feeling you a redneck huh?

I've run the carter/edelbrock 600 on my 1/2 bridge the throttle response is a bit sluggish but it makes good power once you get past that

fbdrifter: 9.6 on a stock nikki is good, but I have a feeling that was a street ported engine? If not something is up, what are your mods? I had a stock nikki jetted out on a street port 13b, that would blow away my holley on the stock port, which doesnt say much, because that is apples to oranges!

Dont hate, Sterling ("You Go, Girl!"), just because you havent run the 1/8 and dont have times for your carb! And I have yet to **** talk. And NO Iam not saying the Holley is the ****, but am saying for the money YOU CANT BEAT IT ! ! !

d0 Luck : yee ******* haw, cowboy . . . I have a feeling you are a punk *** ! ! !

numan2 : Iam not familiar with carter/edelbrocks but with the holley if it responded like that you would need to squirt more gas with the accelerator pump. Not sure how to accomplish similar feat with the carter style?

Hmm, so all of you have all this experience, but have NO #'s to back anything up? So are you too busy living on the internet to grab your ***** in one hand and your $20 bill in the other to go to your local strip and get some #'s to back up your bull ****? With these prices you speak of I think they are used junk that needs rebuilds and more parts thrown at, if you buy a new W E B E R (better **** rtentive *****) and intake you are dropping much cash . . . THAT CANT BE DENIED

or maybe i can put back my previous modded rx2 carb and slow things a bit for ya. your choice.

i ain't scurrrred of no 16 sec. car just to let u know.
Oh yeah? and how do you know how much my car makes on the 1/4 mile when I don't?

And just so your uninformed *** knows, 1) 1984se's had a couple of mods when I raced him, namely headers and cat back. 2) Did you know that I didn't have headers but the stock manifold, didn't have DLIDFS, had an intake with about 25% less flow when I raced and beat him months ago?

Thought so. So bring it on biatch, on the 27th or tomorrow if you like.

Iam glad to hear you didnt have headers. THAT explains it ! ! ! Other than that the only thing to blame it on would be you driving skills, your jump is everything on the strip!
