Can rotor housing be replated?

I have an 85 12a I just took apart due to a broken sparkplug. The front rotor has plating missing. Some of the water journals were plugged up as well. I want to know if the housing can be cleaned up and replated cheaper than buying another housing.

It would be cheaper to just find a good housing on ebay. They pop up from time to time.

New they are $400+. I dont' know about used but the plating would have to be in good shape otherwise I'd be back right where I started.

Has anybody else ever used this company? The products seem to be of quality and reasonably priced.

Only problem is I'd have to do the whole engine.

12A front $350.00
12A intermediate $425.00
12A rear $350.00
12A rotor $280.50
12A rotor $280.50

Total: $1686.00

Oh yeah! Lots, and with one exeption, all positive results... and that one was the user's fault, more than likely.

And I'll be using it on my engine re-build...

Looks like a good product to me.

You wouldn't have to use all Cermet would you?? Say just have the housings done; that'd make a big difference wouldn't it? And what is the diff between the A and B coatings I didn't see info on that, maybe I overlooked it.

A is better, but pricey. You can just get the parts you need done. I'm going to be getting the housings and side plates done, but that's just me. Cermet B on the rotor housings and the side plates only come in Cermet A
I figure the rotors are overkill for me...
