So ur saying that the car idles rough when the a/c is on because the a/c is pulling the RPM'S down?
Are you looking for the idle screw?

Just clarifying.

When the A/C is turned on, there is a throtle opener that is supposed to raise the idle around 300 rpm to compensate for the additional load. Your profile says you have an SE - not sure how that works with the FI engine but the principle remains. Do a search I guess.

It is a solenoid control that bumps the idle up when AC is energized... I am not sure which or where...wiring diagram should show it.

On an SE, there is a switch that senses the A/C is on and it sends a signal to the control unit, which is then supposed to raise the idle. That is one of the many functions of the control unit.

Go to the FAQ section and from there to the '85 factory service manual. Once there click on chapter 4B, Fuel and emissions for the 13B. You'll find the schematics there, including where the idle screw is and how to adjust it.

In the 4th question of the FAQ ("Q. Where can I get service manuals for my 1st Gen?"), you'll find the link to the '85 factory service manual. Click on that and it will take you to the cover of the manual. Then click on Chapter 4B.
