if it smokes then the rest of the rotor seals are going to need replaced, but you should change the apex seals anyway.

how hard is it? i dunno, how good of a mechanic are you? Seriously, the engines are stone simple but like anything else your chances of everything going smoothly greatly depend on how well you know your way around a toolbox.

Well i am going to buy the car for around $300 bucks, and it has a straight body and is completely original. I figured that i could try to fix the engine and if i could just drop in a 13b or something. it should be a good learning experience. later oh and I also think that i can do it cause if i have a problem sone one on this forum should know the answer. I am looking to turn the first gen into a racer / drifting/ have a good time car. its a GSL so i think it should have the Limited slip differential and the 4 wheel disc brakes. anyways thanks Matt22
