Yeah that looks almost identical to my interior except for that little choke button...don't have that. Looks great though! Is it all stock or have you re-furbished it?

I love my brown interior. It really goes with my copper/orange paint. I personally prefer the pre 83 brown interior.

Here is my brown interior...

Every one hates the brown and I don't know why.

I mean I understand that it looks awful with some exterior colour choices, but if you have a car that has the brown int, chances are that the exterior colour actually accompaned it well

I love the brown. The gold paint went well with it.

No I am working on getting my car painted Gun Metal Grey though. My interior, will be a combo of the OEM Brown and Black, done at a shop of course.

Well, my car was originally Havana (not a BAD color), but was primered for a repaint shortly before the guy before me got it. After he thrashed the primer, I just started replacing my exterior with blue parts from a parts car (V3 tender).

I'm sure you can see how those two didn't mix so well together, so I had to change ONE of them

Z-beater, yes that's all original parts that I have put together from purchases on ebay and from forum members.

Hades (Matthew) that's the same interior that was in the 7 I was driving when I visited your place last year, either in the brown 85 GSL (The Turd) or the light beige 84 GSL, which I'm driving now.

Anthrax, that brown interior looks real good. You are right, you need to match the interior and exterior, but what else is new? The 84/85 GSLs came in some good exterior colors for the brown interior, mine are metallic brown (the 85) and light beige (the 84 GSL), both work perfectly with the dark brown leather interior.

Feds, brown > red, maybe. But I recently picked up a white 84 GSL with the maroon velour interior that is in great shape. I'm restoring it now and will post pictures in a few days, but I'm starting to think the red interiors have just as much going for them as the brown ones. There's just something about a twenty year old interior that still looks good that is way better than any new plastic stuff.

Wankler, black on brown could look real good, post pics!

RXrotary, better original and a bit worn than painted!

Ray

I personally have a pretty mint brown interior and I have to admit that I like it ... its really easy to maintain ... don't show dirt as much as any other stock color ... and when it does fade out ... it still look better than the fading of burgendy or balck ...

So what exterior colours would you guys recommend if getting rid of the brown interior isn´t an option??? I actually, sort of like that brown...

I´m planning to get my, for the time being, gold/brown -85 repainted but I´m not sure what colour I should go for!?!

R7 (Persimmon Red) looks great witht the brown interior IMHO, but it is an '84 only colour so if you are a pureist it is out on the '85

Hey Antrax, the installation of your stereo head unit is pretty damn sweet! Did you cut up a stock radio and slip your unit in the middle?

Thanks!!

Actually the stock sterio for the '84-'85 GSL's and -SE's is three seperate components.

1.) Radio Revior and head uint

2.) Tape Deck

3.) Multi Band EQ

I removed the tape deck which is a sandard size, and installed my CD player in there.

I ran seperate wires to the speakers, but I can put the tape deck back in and have a stock working sterio system in about 20 min.

When the CD player is there the stock sterio does not work because I never finished the wireing
