I have seen some pritty tuff grey interiors, but they were more due to neglect.

I have only seen in persone one other grey interior and it was just trashed but not due to fade just due to people not giving f#$k

I think that is the biggest problem with these cars in the '80s no one cared about any thing all that mattered was things looked good as a result alot of our cars were neglected

"the only reason i dont like the brown and red interiors is they seem to fade and change colors" - Gregs

This is true, especially for the red interiors. But it's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm working on an 84 GSL right now with the red velour interior that's in real good shape and it has fading going on in just about every direction, from green to yellow to brown to red. But the overall look is really pretty nice once you get over the "yech it's faded" response. I'll post pictures soon.

In any event, much better faded and original than painted and butchered, IMO.

I disagree. Painted is better than faded, when DONE RIGHT.

I've seen WAY too many "primary color" interior paint jobs. Cherry red (I admit, I was guilty of that!), crayon blue, and even green. Those look HORRIBLE. If you match your interior paint to your exterior paint, though, it looks nice.

Personally I like to avoid paint whenever possible. I agree with Jay though. When done right it can look damn good. I think that it gives it that hot rod look. But I also think that whenever possible you should do all the proper body work and get a nice gloss shine. And yes cars with painted interiors that match the outside look damn good IMO.

I think that so many "ricers" have done this and it has just gotten a bad rep over time. You know the people that I am talking about...the ones with 40' wings...lol

That's real pretty, nothing quite like a well kept original interior.

Ok, I love my tan interior its awesome, especially the seat. Heres a pic. The lines in the seat aren't really there, camera or something.

That's the one Twinkletoes, that's the most beautiful 7 interior ever. Those racing stripes, wow, and the steering wheel, perfect.

Looks great there but that's not tan. Looks more like the lighter brown. Had those seats in my 1st 7 and loved the pattern.
