Could be air in the lines, could be a caliper that has a piston sticking.

yerp sounds like a sticky piston or proportioning valve problem.

Do like I told you to do. It has to be a sticking caliper!

That was awhile ago but I can't remember when he did it for sure. His pads are good as they were just checked. I too had the same thing with my gsl-se but it went away and all of my suspension is new and a good alignment too.
Mine for sure was a sticking caliper has it heated up the rim, but the good ting is I have slotted/cross drilled rotors, hawk pads, and SS brake lines in the garage waiting. Just need to buy the wheel bearings and seals.

I really think his is a sticking caliper also. If we figure it out for sure we will post it.

I just had an interesting problem on a non-RX vehicle. I had the same symptoms as you and it turned out to be a bad rubber brake line going to the caliper. It was acting as a restrictor both ways, the caliper was slow to squeeze and slow to release. If everything else doesn't work replace the rubber lines.

The bad hose was found as I was bleeding the system after I replaced the front calipers on the wife's minivan. The front left caliper was dragging sometimes and when the brakes were pushed hard the van squirmed a little. The front left is the last to be bled and it was hard to push the pedal even with the bleeder out. I scrathed my head a while and then emailed a friend who is a REAL mechanic, he said that was probably my problem. First time in 25yrs of messing with cars that that has happened to me.

My dad runs Cross drilled and slotted rotors on his miata. He autocrosses and drives it to work when he isn't in the 540i.. What is so wrong with them, besides the obvious " more wear on the pad/ you can't turn the rotors" thing. FIRE85GSL-SE drives his car MAYBE once a week, I don't think he will have wear problems.............. At least if you are going to post something NEGATIVE post your reasoning behind it so people have something to think about... Instead of just posting "NO!!!" post your thoughts.

Nope, we have a car for that. This one is a long restore project and gets me to and from work twice a week. Other than that I think this one is too nice to track.

^^^ LOL gross. You can turn them, but they become less effective every time as the depth decreases between the top of the rotor and the depth of the slot.....

Well that is common sence. If you turn them several times then they would be like normal rotors.
And yes that would be very gross!

i wasn't being negative. i asked if he tracked his car to get a feel for what he was going to use them for (bling or functionality). for bling....yes they do look bad-***. for functionality they are crap on the track. and if you think i "might just be an idiot", read this http://corner-carvers.com/altimathread.php.html the guy arguing against the dumbass trying to make a buck is named matt and works at carbotech which makes some of the best racing brakes you can buy. sorry if i seemed negative but if you read that thread and still are blinded by the bling and other crap you have heard about how great crossdrilled/slotted rotors are, i feel sorry for you

if they arent "great" then why do high dollar cars come factory with them? like porshe, or the new vettes, lambo's, ferraris, i dont think any of those companys are into bling at all p-diddy. i know that i noticed a difference when in the hills, i had less brake fade and less brake glazing, so maybe your wrong cuba.
