Bounce Over Bumps at Speed

I’ve noticed on certain part of my commute that my car bounces at speed over undulating bumps. It usually happens around 55-60mph...is this a sign that the shocks are toast?

The car ReSpeed front coilovers and rear adjustable platforms and I think Koni adjustable reds.

Other than the occasional bounce at speed it seems to handle rather well.

Have you cut all 4 bump stops the same amount that you lowered your car? The rear makes the most difference, but all 4 likely need to be cut,

I have no clue if they have been cut...I’ll check.

You probably need new shocks. How old or miles are on the Konis? Konis rebuild shocks I think.

Not sure...I know that that they were put on prior to 2012, and have at least 7k miles on them. That's about it.

My Tokico Blues have close to 150k miles on them, and still going strong. A quick test for shocks is to go to each corner of the car and pump your body weight onto a solid portion of that corner. For the front, use the Strut Towers; at the rear, use the rear-most corner of the bodywork or the bumper. When you shove the body down, if it comes back up and stops, your shocks are fine. If the body comes back up and then down, and then up, and then down in gradually reducing oscillation - you need new shocks, as your springs are providing all of your suspension dampening.

Bad shocks will feel like a loose, "rolling" kind of undulation. If you're feeling a sharper "hit" then it could be just the bump stops bottoming out.
