Coil wiring?

Hey. Just tested for spark on my 83 GSL, and there’s none. Just replaced distributor cap, rotor, coils, wires, and plugs... and nothing. I was looking in the wiring diagram form the 79-80 manual, and something missing... what is it?

Ignitors. The 79/80 models had Ignitors located in that spot in your picture where there's a 10mm bolt head and a piece of plastic. Normally, there would be a remote-mounted Ignitor Plate with 2 Ignitors mounted to it to provide spark triggering.

Without a method of triggering the Coils, you'll get zero spark at the plugs.

Unless you've retrofitted a later model Distributor with the Ignitors mounted to the sides of it, then that's what you're missing.

You say you have an 83, if thats the case the ignitors are on the dizzy. You need to check and make sure the wiring from those ignitors is getting to the coils.
