If it's your oil seals you will have to take the eng apart and inspect all parts. If all parts are within specs just change the oil seals and a gasket kit. Price depens if you do it or someone else does. Oil seals cost 32.00, 12A gasket kit for 100.00. Get stuff from atkins rotary. They are vey good.

Before you go looking at the internal stuff, check your Oil Metering Pump. There might be something wrong with it.

Remember, our cars are *supposed* to burn a little oil. They're designed to do that. So check your OMP, to make sure it's runnign properly. Rebuild kits for your OMP are $20 and it's bloody easy to rebuild. I could teach a fourth grader how to rebuild an OMP, but tearing apart your engine is not for the everyday joe (unless you want your car up for a few weeks while you figure out how to put it back together!). www.loweperformance.com sells OMP rebuild kits.

It's probably a good idea to rebuild your OMP anyway. After 20 years the rubber seals inside them tend to start going bad, and that can lead to the OMP failing. IF it fails, it won't pump oil into your intake anymore to mix with the air and gas. If it doesn't pump oil into the intake, your apex seals won't get lubricated and will snap. This is a bad thing! This is an expensive-as-all-hell repair.

So try that first.

If the omp was bad, he wouldnt be burning oil. My car is doing the same thing, but its not drivable.

I never suggested the OMP being "bad" was the source of the blue smoke.

But if the OMP rod comes loose or brakes, the OMP defaults to "full open", which could give extra oil at idle...

Does it pump oil at idle? When I checked mine, I didn't see anything until the pedal was pushed.
