15" HRE's

I'm partial to the 15"-16" sizes. Here are my 15's.. I'm looking at getting some SSR Comps in 16" size also.

the 15 inch panasport bananas look nice and there's still good performance, cheaper tires

Damnit, those K1's are calling my name....

Choices, choices. If I could steal my brother's Pana's, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but seems like the K1's are easier to get, cheaper, lighter, etc...

My favorites for racing are 13 by 8, with 235/45 rubber on them.

On the street I like the classic lines of the 83 LE wheels

Best looking wheels are 16x8" 3rd gens by far! Ok, so maybe they aren't exactly a straight bolt-on And I might be biased since that's my old car...

Please explain how you did the 5-lug setup? The more details the better.

Thanks
Randy

I bought the car from the guy that did the conversion (Alex from Lopez Racing in Miami). He told me that he uses new TII lugs and studs and then redrills the stock GSL-SE hubs and rotors. He tried doing it on a non-SE suspension and it wouldn't work (so if you thought this was a good alternative to your odd 4x110 bolt pattern... sorry!). Tires were 245/45/16 all the way around. They rubbed a little bit on the front (had to use spacers) but I think some 225/40s would've fixed the problem.

A couple more pics:

Yep, that's true. I am likley going to have mine redone so I can have a better selection of wheels for the Widebody.

Your car has come up before. Can you specify what mods it has, what body kit (What tail for me), and so on.

It is a beautiful ride.

Hmmmm... had a bad experience with Alex??

I was told that the kit is from Kaminari and can only be bought in Puerto Rico. I looked in Kaminari's website and there's nothing for any year RX-7 in there. I think what happened is that Kaminari discontinued this kit but someone in P.R. copied it and is still selling it. Alex knows how to get them. I'm not sure if the tail is part of it or not. Wings West and Erebuni make similar ones but they are lower. If you want to see more specs on this car you can go to http://members.cardomain.com/x4dluvofspeedx

Lotasacars, I don't have pics of the conversion, but a friend of mine has some stashed away somewhere. If I get a hold of them I'll post them here.

Sorry to all of you that have asked questions I can't answer. As I mentioned earlier I owned the car for a short time and I didn't do any of the mods.

Cheers,

Javi

I think 15'' look best on 1st gens. They go with the car very well.

Yes, that is the full imported Kaminari kit. The wing isn't part of the kit, but looks nice. I have the same front and rear, and some weird sideskirts on my car. I've also heard that this kit was never a US available kit.....just imported from PR.
