Panasports look good in 15 or 16'', Max7's looks great with 17's, as does AJC13B's.

I like both 15 and 17, but I think 15 is a bit better. I like the big tire look, and at the same time I like the big rim look...

I agree on the 15" opinion. I have 17" Fittipaldi's on my new GSL-SE and they are a bit big for my tastes. They almost make the car look like an offroad vehicle or something. I will most likely sell them and get a nice set of 15s.

Anyone interested in some decent 17" Fittipaldis with practically new tires? I've already had several people ask about them, what is a fair price? I may just list them on eBay if there's too much interest.

Hey mike,

I noticed you perminately fixed the problem of the black paint flaking off the winshield surround/drip edge. I was thinking myself if just srtipping all the black paint off and polishing it up just a little, but thought it might look a bit silly on a white one with dark tint. That opinion might change tho, i have a hard time seeing it in my head.

However, love the handles. I was thinking of putting in the early miata chrome handles, but those look nice as well....where'd ya get them?

They are 215/45s and the handles are actually black. I'm working on getting some more recent photos.

Yeah, some finger nail polish remover and some elbow grease works nicely. I'm not a chrome type person but it turned out real nice looking.

I chose 16's..... not too big, not to small. Gives the car an updated look cause all the new cars are comming out with 17's stock.

Smaller you go, cheaper rubber!

But if I could go back in time, I would have bought 17's. Think about it carefully, I regret the 16's already.

If the Cleveland meet is a go, we'll have pictures of the silver GSL sitting on silver 13x7 race wheels

17's look the best but the tradeoff in perfromance is not worth it. 16's would be perfect, but I settles for 15's. The 13's win hands down at the track.

Trade off in performance? What trade off??

17s are the only way to go on a 1st gen.

I'd personally hate to have 17's on a 1st-gen... the tough wheels would be too heavy, and the lightweight wheels would be too fragile. I don't live where the roads are table-smooth, and cracked/bent/outright fractured 16" and 17" wheels are all too common.

I'm warming up to the thought of 17's on a 2nd-gen though... the cars are big enough to where you can get some more sidewall on the rims (like say 215/45 or even 215/50) so that they won't die so rapidly.

I tell you what though... I took off the stock wheels with 195/70-13 tires, and put on my steel race wheels with 205/60-13 tires... the difference is like night and day. The car accelerates so much faster, it's unbelievable. The 195/70s are worn out, they'll get replaced with some 205/60s if i can find any anymore.

You can go much wider on an FC than 215's. One that hasn't been popped in the front can run 225s on the stock rims and 245s in the rear

Mine has been hit in the front and been on a frame machine. 225/50/16's hit my drivers side strut
