Anyways, sorry for jumping off subject.

I personally think that putting those big blocks in a 7 is like expecting a cow to beat a horse at a race. The cow is what you dropped in a 7 once you put that heavy motor in there it's just a cow.... the 50/50 distribution goes to crap with all the weight can 2 guys carry a fully assembled piston engine? cause if they could then it would only take of of them to carry a rotary get where im going the rotary engine is lighter & def doesnt weigh down that body like those big blocks. Im not hatin im just Rotary.... Rotaries4Life

I bet with the motor in their the little FB gained a few hundred pounds lol
bet again

its pullin such sucky e.t because like u guys said, the extra weight, the traction and the new 90% weight on front and 10% on the rear lol
that's about 100% wrong

good thing that car doesn't have a big block in it.... to answer your question tho, Yes if two people can carry a rotary short block with ease then they can carry a small block short block as well. i've done it, it's not that big of a deal. you people are insane with this ****. hahaha!

my v8 fb still weighs the same. i don't have any accessories on the engine, but neither did my old turbo rotary. here's the thing tho... more weight Behind the crossmember. with a modified turbo setup you throw alot of weight towards the front. people don't seem to realize this. the reason i am comparing with a turbo rotary setup is because i figure that would be apples to apples power wise.

i have had many turbo rotary engines and am currently finishing a gt42 TII. but i absolutely love my v8 fb. cranks right up everytime, runs like a bat out of hell, gets good gas mileage... oh yes, don't believe all the myths, and is just plain out fun as hell to drive. none of my 12a's gave me that complete satisfaction. every day something new was wrong and sure alot of that was because it was a budget setup, but so is this and i haven't done anything but add fuel and change oil

i just hate seeing all the lies when you people haven't even ridden in one, let alone driven one.

If you are going to do a V8 swap, why put in a supercharged Ford V8 when a Chevy V8 could do that with mild cam and without a supercharger?

i dont think i could ever picture myself not working on my car, i couldnt just add gas and change oil, i always have to be workin on my car even if i dont have too. i dont know where u get it from that taking out an engine that weighs maybe 200lbs and throwing in an engine that weighs close to 400 doesnt change weight distribution. but i guess since u own one and have rx's then u know. i could never picture me ownin a car thats supposed to be rotary powered sound like a V-8 with an oversized cam in it. my rex has to either sound like a rotary or a bumble bee(zzzZZZZZZZshiftzzzzzZZZZshift) i love that noise, especially under bridges a V-8 cant do that.

well, as i said i was comparing with a turbo rotary setup since that is fair when it comes to each ones hp capabilities. if you are going from a little 12a n/a to a small block then yes it will weigh a little more. not 200lbs more hahaha, but the beauty is that the weight is more centered. it's farther behind the crossmember and what does that do???? helps with HANDLING OMFG NOES HE CANT BE SERIOUS! :P

i'm sorry, not trying to be a punk but i was just like all you haters until i got the chance to ride in one. then i drove it, then i was hooked.

oh and i still work on my car all the time.... but it's MODDING and not Repairing

also, to the fella that says "why put the supercharged ford 302 in there?" I agree entirely which is why i went with the chevy 350 WOOWOOOOO!

i'll get some vids up soon for you guys to see what it's really like, i understand the rotary purist passion. i work on rotaries every single day of my life almost and i still own them! but when something is bad *** you just gotta let down your guard and enjoy it.

Disclaimer : Please keep your Rotary loyal comments to yourself, while some people think the rotary engine is the "soul" of the car, our customer thought differently, and wanted this done to his vehicle. All comments regarding anything other than serious questions about the car will not be read and deleted, so do not waste your time.
im sorry but a small block in my rx7 would make my happier than a fat kid in a candy shop. i know i love the rotary but until i have the money, i dont want to spend 5 grand just on a port job/rebuild.

with 500 hp the car should hit 9's. Needs more tire.

25k? Thats hilaroius.... Thats some wimpy HP for a blown 5 litre!

I make more power with my stock un opened 6 cyl turbo and run faster quarters at 121+mph... Netting 28+mpg and complete streetability on 91 octane. That little light FB should be running 9's at 130+ with that motor. Tires aren't the problem it should still MPH alot higher! Traction is a huge issue for me, but I still trap in the 120's. And I'm only making around 400 hp and weigh 2830lbs!

Anyone want my FC with a GN motor in it? U can have it for 7k... I want to build a 1st gen anyway.... Screw huge HP it just breaks things. It's all about power to weight and light cars!

With all that said. It's a really nice clean car! And I'd trade him in a heart beat...
