Could be foglights,or it could activate the Flux Capaciter........

Thats not stock, could be anything.Just turn on the car, start it and flip the switch to see what happens. If nothing happens, then follow the wires to see where they go.Could be a fuel pump kill if the injectors were leaking and flooding the engine.Could be a valet switch, could be power antennea, could be nothing at all anymore.....

Damn, did someone do a one-legged burnout on your floormat?!

How long have you owned the car, and have you never flipped the switch before? There isn't any way for us to know what it goes to. Ask the previous owner, or just flip it on and check everything over, then turn it off and check again and see what comes on and goes off.

That swith controls your NITROUS!!!! Hahahaha.

You probally would have noticed that by now right?? Is your car an SE? On mine I had the choke lever right there, Dont suppose thatd be something rigged to do with an electric choke?? If its an SE then forget that.

Id climb under and follow the wires as far as I could. If they go to the firewall, well something in the engine then. Center console, then maybe you could isolate it. Under the carpet or through the fender then probally to the rear of the car.

No Wires? Then you got yourself a spare switch

Actually that's the switch to turn on the mini-Pong game built inside the car. What do you think that little joystick is for in the middle of your center console? Sure, Mazda just puts directions on the thing, but really, all GSL-SE's were Atari Editions.

The joystick is actually a control for your speaker fade/balance if you can believe it. If you've got stock stereo with stock speakers and speaker wires, play some music and play with the joystick.

No clue what the orange switch is though...

Dude, you need to change your handle over to 'SuperClutcher' or something. Do a lot of city-driving, do you???

In all seriousness, that switch is a common Radio Shack aftermarket part, and as such, the only way to know what it does is to track the wiring down. It could do anything, including activate the Flux Capacitor - so try to avoid driving over 88 mph and flipping that switch. We might never see or hear from you again!
