Anyone have part # for the beehive o-rings?

Damn dealer is too lazy to look them up. Claims "not available anymore...I don't even have a part number"

Since a number of you have recently purchased them, I'm sure they are still available from Mazda. Just need a part numer.

Anyone got? I would REALLY appreciate it. Don't want to go through all the hassle and wind up with the wrong parts in hand, or a leak when done.

TIA

I just went to the hardware store and got some o rings from there. Worked great with no leaks at all.

yeah. hardware store. the reason they don't wanna look them up is they ahve to use these little cards that they look through a microscope to find the part number

please tell me when you find out....if both your o rings are the same size. i am frustrated with my o rings....i got a pair, but only one fit. it seems the other one is smaller, and i can't look at them, because i can't get the oil cooler off. i'm just sticking my fingers under there and feeling what's up.....most ppl say they are the same size, so does the dealer but i beg to differ....unless maybe the o ring is stuck in there, and what i think is a smaller hole, is actually a really hard pressed in o ring . who knows

They're the same O-rings as used by the normal oil filter pedestals.

I bought a set of metric O-rings from Harbor Freight, they had "close enough" O-rings for the oil cooler, as well as for the dowel pins and the front cover oil passage.

Make sure you replace all four O-rings, there are two between the cooler and the engine and two between the cooler body and its lower plate. (Yes all four are the same size)

Victoria British sent me the wrong size, I have the bag right here with the same part #.
They won't even fit in the opening without forcing them.

I just went to the local Pep Boys after that, they didn't even charge me for them.

Also, I did a search on here to find the right size, and the only post stating sizes was way too small.
The ones I used are 14mm ID 2.5mm thick

okay i figured it out. the reason i thought the one hole was smaller was because the o ring on that side was still intact *duh*, like i said i was only sticking my fingers in there, i didn't remove the oil cooler completely. it sure felt like metal, but when i stuck a screwdriver in there, i was able to remove the o ring, and thus replacing it. so yes they are the same size....DOH

oh, i just used o rings from canadian tire, so hopefully they will hold up

Kick *** man. VB is right down the road from me. I looked at them for the heater hoses I want to replace while I am in there, but never thought of them for the o-rings.

Thanks much
